据海客新闻消息，据台湾东森新闻网报道，6月8日上午，台中一游乐园过山车突然停在半空中，车厢呈90度垂直状态，20名游客被困高空。当时还下起大雨，受困游客在雨中被困长达8分钟，才顺利脱困。园区对此解释，设施因遭遇短时强风与暴雨，安全保护系统自动启动导致停运，所有游客均已平安撤离。
