大运河传媒讯(朱桂艳)运河之水连通天下,青年之力联结未来。7月24日上午,“相约锡城 筑梦未来”2026第六届运河城市模拟联合国大会暨全球公民模拟联合国大会中国会场在无锡开幕,来自中国、美国、欧洲、东南亚等国家和地区的700名师生代表,将在为期4天的正式活动中开展跨文化对话、探讨全球热点议题,为世界和平发展贡献“青年力量”。

本届大会获中国驻纽约总领事馆特别支持,由联合国官方合作组织欧洲联合组织(UNE)指导,在无锡市人民政府外事办公室、无锡市教育局支持下,由费城之窗主办,无锡教育国际交流协会、德诺国际教育集团承办。
以运河为媒搭建青年国际交流平台

无锡市教育局副局长萧晶在致辞中指出,运河城市模拟联合国大会自2023年引入无锡以来,已经连续举办了四届,成为无锡对外开放的宝贵窗口、教育国际交流合作的名片标识、青少年国际素养培育的重要平台。“大运河沟通南北、连接东西,书写了一部开放、包容、合作的人类命运共同体史诗;今天的大会赋予这条古老运河以新的时代内涵——它不仅是地理和交通意义上的人工水道,更是思想互学互鉴、文明交流交融的‘国际运河’。”她表示,无锡愿以运河文化为媒、以模联大会为桥,努力为中外青少年朋友们搭建拓展国际视野、锻炼批判性思维、培养团队领导力的平台。

中国教育国际交流协会是中国教育界开展非官方对外教育合作与交流的全国性组织,具有“联合国经社理事会特别咨商地位”。在协会副秘书长于洋看来,青年走进的是一场模拟联合国大会的真实体验场景,更是一堂全球治理实践课。他寄语中外青年以青年之心推动中外交流,为跨越国界的友谊添砖加瓦;以青年之眼拓宽世界认知,在双向感知中看见彼此;以青年之力参与全球治理,以积极行动回应时代之问。

察哈尔学会外交委员会委员、欧美同学会拉美分会原会长王卫华认为,运河城市模拟联合国大会激励青年学生以人类命运为己任、以世界和平为目标,积极探讨全球发展和治理中的各种议题,显著拓宽了参与者的国际知识水平和全球视野。他还谈到,无锡作为运河核心城市,自古便有着开放包容的气质,近年来持续承办中拉文明对话,成为连接中国和拉美国家文化交流的重要纽带。

“世界的舞台需要青少年参与,期待青少年开展更多对话,对世界和平发展做出更多贡献。”联合国难民署驻华代表Sophie Muller(穆索菲)视频致辞中说。欧洲联合组织(UNE)运营总监Giulia Renzoni引用孔子“君子和而不同”的名言,鼓励各国青少年尊重多元、真诚对话,在差异中携手合作。

美中商旅总会会长、费城之窗创始人张文龙宣布大会开幕。江苏省政协副秘书长、民进江苏省委会专职副主委余珽,无锡市人民政府外事办公室副主任叶诤,中国教育国际交流协会高等教育合作部副主任张俊卿,无锡教育国际交流协会会长徐成洁,世界运河历史文化城市合作组织(WCCO)运河城市国际交流专委会主任、荣誉秘书长邓清,美国德雷塞尔大学招生办主任Dr. Song Hoffman等领导和嘉宾出席活动。
一场模联大会架起全球青年“连心桥”
运河城市模拟联合国大会活动创办于2021年,始终秉持“联结世界“的宗旨,吸引了众多国际青少年踊跃参与,已发展成为全球青少年沟通的重要平台。

大会围绕全球热点议题开展深度探讨,形式丰富,议题多元。在会期中,青少年勇敢表达、理性思辨、学会倾听、善于合作,以对话代替对抗、以共识弥合分歧,在交流中增进友谊、在交锋中收获成长。来自海外的青年朋友在会议之余,也通过探索会议所在的运河城市,近距离感受一个真实、立体、开放、进步的中国。
“我们希望搭建一个国际交流平台,让世界不同国家、地区的青年,通过亲身参与沉浸式体验国际会议,从中获得锻炼与成长,增进彼此了解。”德诺国际教育集团总裁姚家红特别介绍,本届运河城市模拟联合国大会的亮点是,在常规委员会下面新增设了北宋委员会和媒体会员会,前者探讨北宋的经济政策与政治改革,参会青年可以从中深入了解中国文化,后者让学生在会议期间自己进行媒体发布和宣传,为活动增彩。

“参加模拟联合国大会,我认识了来自不同地区、不同文化背景的国际青年,和他们交流、辩论,结下了深厚的友谊,同时也提升了我的英语表达能力和思辨能力。”无锡新吴实验中学的杨麟轩说。
“我们正围绕全球价值链展开辩论,探讨如何让这一国际运作流程更加公平。”来自美国新泽西州的Emma Schmidt兴奋地表示,借着参会的机会,她到无锡古城漫步游玩,让她印象深刻的是,看到了很多喜欢的美食,遇到的人都很友善。同样来自美国新泽西州的Michael Muriuki告诉大运河传媒记者,他加入不同国家青年组成的团队,探讨全球关注的热点议题,共同想办法解决目前世界各地正在面临的问题。“还可以学习中国文化,与各国青年朋友互动,我真的很高兴。”
The waters of the canal connect the world, and the power of youth links the future. On the morning of July 24, the "Meet in Xicheng, Build Dreams for the Future" 2026 6th Canal Cities Model United Nations Conference and Global Citizen Model United Nations Conference China venue opened in Wuxi. This conference received special support from the Chinese Consulate General in New York, guided by the United Nations Official Cooperation Organization (UNE), supported by the Wuxi Municipal Foreign Affairs Office and the Wuxi Education Bureau, hosted by Philadelphia Window, and organized by the Wuxi Education International Exchange Association and Deno International Education Group. A total of 700 teachers and students from China, the United States, Europe, Southeast Asia, and other countries and regions will engage in cross-cultural dialogues and discuss global hot topics during the four-day formal event, contributing "youth strength" to world peace and development.

The Canal Cities Model United Nations Conference was founded in 2021 and has always adhered to the mission of "connecting the world," attracting enthusiastic participation from many international youth and developing into an important global platform for youth communication. Since its introduction to Wuxi in 2023, the conference has been held four times in a row, becoming a valuable window for Wuxi's opening up, a hallmark for international educational exchange and cooperation, and an important platform for cultivating youth international literacy.
Zhang Wenlong, President of the US-China Business Travel Association and founder of Window of Philadelphia, announced the opening of the conference. The conference conducted in-depth discussions on global hot topics, with a rich variety of formats and diverse topics. During the conference, young people bravely express themselves, think rationally, learn to listen, and cooperate well. They replace confrontation with dialogue, bridge differences through consensus, deepen friendships through exchanges, and grow through confrontations. Young friends from overseas also explored the canal city where the conference was held, experiencing up close a real, multidimensional, open, and progressive China.
"We hope to build an international exchange platform, allowing young people from different countries and regions around the world to personally participate in immersive international conferences, gain experience, grow, and deepen mutual understanding." Yao Jiahong, President of Deno International Education Group, introduced that the highlight of this year's Canal Cities Model United Nations Conference is the addition of the Northern Song Committee and the Media Membership Council under the regular committee. The former explores Northern Song economic policies and political reforms, allowing young participants to gain a deeper understanding of Chinese culture, while the latter allows students to make media presentations and promote themselves during the conference, adding brilliance to the event.
