聚焦中印文化交流｜A New Form Of Civil Diplomacy: The First Cultural And Artistic Delegation To India 近六年中国首个访印文艺代表团的民间外交新实践

大运河传媒讯（王婧 徐蓉）作为近六年来中国首个赴印文艺代表团，也是江苏省十年来首个出访印度的文艺团体，8月17日~27日，扬州和韵艺术团应印度CD基金会邀请，在江苏省人民对外友好协会、扬州市人民对外友好协会指导支持下，走进印度德里、海德拉巴两地开展文化交流活动。Grand Canal Media News (Wang Jing, Xu Rong) As the first cultural and artistic delegation from China to India in the past six years, and also the first cultural and artistic group from Jiangsu Province to visit India in the past ten years, from August 17th to 27th, the Yangzhou Heyun Art Troupe, at the invitation of the CD Foundation in India, and with the support of the Jiangsu Provincial People’s Foreign Friendship Association and the Yangzhou City People’s Foreign Friendship Association, went to Delhi and Hyderabad in India to carry out cultural exchange activities.

中印两大文明古国交往绵延千年，人文纽带深厚。2025年11月，印度印度文艺界知名人士访华团到访江苏省友协、扬州市友协等。江苏拥有的深厚文化、国际视野、优质教育等给他们留下了深刻印象。为此，2026年，印度CD基金会推出“世界与我们：中国节-印度站”活动，邀请江苏省友协等相关机构参加，期待能向印度观众等展示中国丰富的文化遗产、旅游潜力、优质教育、美食传统、商业优势等。The two ancient civilizations of China and India have had extensive interactions over thousands of years, with deep cultural connections. In November 2025, a delegation from the CD Foundation in India visited the Friendship Associations of Jiangsu Province and Yangzhou City. Jiangsu’s rich culture, international perspective, and excellent education impressed them greatly. Therefore, in 2026, the Foundation organized the event “The World with Us: Chinese Festivals – India Session”, inviting the Friendship Associations of Jiangsu Province and other relevant organizations to participate. The aim is to showcase China’s rich cultural heritage, tourism potential, high-quality education, delicious food traditions, and business advantages to the Indian audience.

扬州和韵艺术团团长蒋毅介绍，这并非一场筹备周期充裕的常规外访项目。代表团临危受命，在出发前一个多月方才接到出访任务。时间紧、任务重，团队迅速整合艺术团、厨师表演团、商务团三支力量，完成人员集结、节目打磨、政企多方对接等准备工作。Jiang Yi, head of the Yangzhou He Yun Art Troupe, said that this was not a routine overseas visit that required ample time for preparation. The delegation was given this task just over a month before their departure. With limited time and complex tasks, the team quickly coordinated three groups: the art troupe, the chefs’ performance group, and the business group, to complete preparations such as personnel assembly, program refinement, and coordination with government and business entities.

从前期筹备，到签证办理、跨境通关，一路挑战接踵而至。代表团抵达印度之后，受当地局势变化影响，原定公开公演计划临时取消。多重变数面前，代表团没有止步退缩，而是另辟交流路径，把交流场景从大型公演舞台拓展至中国驻印度大使馆、佛学学园、职业院校、酒店等场所。他们以文艺展演、淮扬美食演示、非遗体验、青年互动、城市与经贸推介等多种形式，在重重现实阻隔之下，搭建起中印两国之间的民间外交新渠道。From early preparations to visa processing and cross-border customs procedures, numerous challenges arose along the way. After arriving in India, due to changes in local circumstances, the originally planned public performances were canceled. Despite these obstacles, the delegation did not give up; instead, they found alternative ways to carry out exchanges, expanding the venues from large-scale performances to embassies, Buddhist schools, vocational colleges, and hotels in India. Through various forms of artistic performances, demonstrations of Huaiyang cuisine, experiences with intangible cultural heritage, interactions with young people, and promotional activities related to cities and trade, they created new channels for civil diplomacy between China and India, despite the many obstacles in front of them.

文艺展演是消除语言隔阂的直接载体。在德里、海德拉巴的多场演出中，艺术团极具江南风韵的民间歌舞感染了印度观众。被誉为“木偶双绝”的扬州杖头木偶表演尤为震撼——艺术家操控木偶，瞬间变脸、挥毫写字、泼墨作画，精湛技艺令现场掌声雷动。有观众现场感叹：“太神奇了，木偶仿佛有了生命。”此外，戏曲、民乐、武术等中华传统节目接续上演，依靠艺术本身的感染力传递东方审美，成为中印民众情感共鸣的桥梁。Cultural performances are a direct means of overcoming language barriers. During various shows in Delhi and Hyderabad, the art troupes’ folk songs and dances, with their charm reminiscent of those from Jiangnan region, captivated the Indian audience. The Yangzhou stick puppet performances, known as “the two greatest talents in puppetry,” were particularly impressive – the artists could control the puppets, change their faces instantly, write words with brushes, and paint pictures using ink; their exquisite skills elicited thunderous applause from the audience. Some spectators said on the spot, “It’s amazing; it seems like the puppets have life.” In addition, traditional Chinese performances such as opera, traditional music, and martial arts were also presented. Through the appeal of these arts themselves, Eastern aesthetics were conveyed, serving as a bridge for emotional connection between Chinese and Indian people.

美食与非遗展示构成交流的另一重要支点。厨师表演团带来了扬州香菇素菜、翡翠烧麦、羊肉包子、扬州炒饭、茄汁大虾、松鼠鱼等经典淮扬菜。一道道色香味俱佳的菜肴，让印度友人赞不绝口，纷纷竖起大拇指。Food and cultural heritage displays represent another important aspect of communication. A group of chefs brought along classic Huaiyang dishes like mushroom-based dishes, jade-like dumplings, lamb buns, fried rice from Yangzhou, shrimp with tomato sauce, and fish with squirrel flavor. Each dish, with its beautiful colors, flavors, and aromas, earned praise from Indian guests, who gave them high marks.

即便没有大型公演的舞台，文化传播的脚步并未停滞。代表团在酒店开辟非遗展示空间，茶道、香道、古琴、漆扇轮番亮相，摊位始终人气旺盛。往来的各界宾客纷纷围拢过来，近距离体验中国传统技艺，现场氛围热烈。酒店行政总厨还主动找到代表团，希望能够引入扬州黄茶、茉莉花茶等特色，把来自东方的茶味分享给更多到访宾客。参与者纷纷表示：“一定要去中国，去扬州看看！”印度CD基金会还在社交媒体上进行分享，期待能够再次访问江苏。Even without the stage for large-scale performances, the efforts in cultural dissemination continue unabated. The delegation set up a space in the hotel for displaying intangible cultural heritage items; tea ceremonies, incense rituals, guqin music, and lacquer fans were all exhibited, and the stalls remained very popular. Guests from various fields gathered around to experience traditional Chinese crafts up close, creating a lively atmosphere at the event. The hotel’s head chef also approached the delegation, hoping to introduce special teas such as Yangzhou yellow tea and jasmine tea, so that guests could enjoy the flavors of Eastern tea. Participants said, “We must go to China and visit Yangzhou!” The Indian CD Foundation also shared this information on social media, hoping to visit Jiangsu again in the future.

青年交流是两国文明续接的根基。扬州是星云大师的故乡，与佛光山渊源深厚，而印度作为佛陀故土，二者天然拥有精神文化的联结。因此，代表团还前往了佛光山印度沙弥学园，与70名印度沙弥联欢互动。双方分别献上各具本土文化特色的节目，让印度本土传统文化、佛教文化与中华传统艺术同台相遇，在表演与对话之间传递东方共通的慈悲与智慧。Young people’s exchanges are the foundation for the continuity of civilizations between the two countries. Yangzhou is the birthplace of Master Xingyun, and it has a deep connection with Buddha Light Mountain. As India is the homeland of the Buddha, there is naturally a spiritual and cultural link between the two places. Therefore, the delegation also visited the Indian monks’ academy at Buddha Light Mountain, where they interacted with 70 Indian monks. Both sides presented performances with unique cultural characteristics, allowing traditional Indian culture, Buddhist culture, and Chinese traditional art to come together. Through these performances and conversations, the common principles of compassion and wisdom associated with the East were shared.

在 REYANSH 职业学院，代表团收获了超乎预期的热情。数百名当地学生以撒花瓣、敬献花环的方式，在道路两旁夹道迎接，热烈的欢呼与掌声绵延数百米。面对扑面而来的真挚情谊，和韵艺术团常务副团长、扬州职业技术大学旅游学院副教授王婧在交流中谈到：“中印都是文明古国，青年是两国未来的希望。今天的交流意义非凡，我们期待未来开展更多机制性、双向互动，让中印青年友谊在交流中不断深化。”At REYANSH Vocational College, the delegation received an enthusiasm that exceeded their expectations. Hundreds of local students greeted them along the roadsides by placing flower petals and offering wreaths; enthusiastic cheers and applause could be heard for miles. In response to this genuine warmth, Wang Jing, the executive deputy head of the YangzhouHeYun Art Troupe and an associate professor at Yangzhou Polytechnic University, said during the exchange: “Both China and India are ancient civilizations. Youth represents the future of both countries. Today’s exchanges are of great significance. We hope that more structured and mutual interactions will take place in the future, so that the friendship between Chinese and Indian youth can continue to grow through these exchanges.”

踏上印度土地之前，部分团队成员对当地还带着固有的刻板印象。真正深入走访之后，大家真切感受到印度充满活力的社会面貌与巨大发展潜力。蓬勃发展的工业制造业、重视教育的青年群体、民间旺盛的对外交流意愿，都刷新了代表团的认知。Before arriving in India, some team members had preconceived notions about the country. But after a deeper exploration, they realized how dynamic India’s society is and its great potential for development. The thriving industrial sector, the emphasis on education among young people, and the strong desire for international exchange all surprised the delegation.

文化交流之外，经贸的纽带也同步生长。活动期间播放的扬州城市宣传片以及丰尚集团企业介绍短片，展现了扬州的大运河文化、千年历史底蕴与当代产业活力，让印度各界人士为之赞叹。“扬州太美了，真希望尽早到中国！” 成为访问期间高频的呼声。In addition to cultural exchanges, economic and trade ties also developed alongside them. The promotional videos of Yangzhou city and short films introducing Fengshang Group demonstrated Yangzhou’s canal culture, centuries-old history, and modern industrial vitality. This impressed people from various sectors in India. “Yangzhou is so beautiful. I really hope to visit China soon!” This was a common request during the visit.

依托本次出访契机，扬州鑫渔机械制造有限公司、丰尚集团对接印度政企相关资源，收获后续商务往来的机遇。印度CD基金会负责人查鲁・达斯也向代表团郑重表示，在印度若有需要，基金会愿意随时提供协助。Taking advantage of this visit, Yangzhou Xinyu Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd. and Fengshang Group have established contacts with relevant government and business entities in India, thereby securing opportunities for future business dealings. Chalu Das, the head of the CD Foundation in India, also promised the delegation that the foundation would be willing to provide assistance whenever needed in India.

本次印度之行，是一次地方性社团参与民间外交的新实践。民间外交的价值，往往不在于宏大宣言，而在于一场场演出、一次次面对面交谈所积累的点滴共识。艺术团以民间使者的身份，把江苏、扬州的声音传递出去，在印度大地播撒下友谊的种子。This trip to India represents a new practice in civil diplomacy involving local organizations. The value of civil diplomacy lies not in grand declarations, but in the small agreements achieved through various performances and face-to-face conversations. As civil messengers, the art troupe spreads the voices of Jiangsu and Yangzhou across India, sowing seeds of friendship there.
