北京时间9月7日，据媒体人“球圈赵探长”和“所罗门的臣仆”等多位媒体人消息，山东高速最终没能和奥莫特签约。
据报道，山东男篮此前确实和奥莫特达成了签约，但是自从媒体放出该笔签约消息后，舆论一片负面评价，导致山东管理层不得不迫于舆论压力做出更换奥莫特的决定。
