敕勒川草原位于内蒙古呼和浩特东北部的阴山山脉大青山南麓，这里原名呼和塔拉草原，蒙语意为“青色的草原”。2020年，敕勒川草原入选全国首批国家草原自然公园试点，成为全国草原生态保护与修复的标杆和典范。
