9月20日，中国南方航空宣布，将于10月12日起开通广州-长沙-亚的斯亚贝巴国际航线，每周执行2个往返航班，由波音787宽体客机执飞。该航线是华南首条中国航司直飞埃塞俄比亚航线。本次新开航线班期为每周一、周五。
