北京时间9月21日，据媒体人“球圈赵探长”报道，广东新赛季将续用小外援萨姆纳。
据报道，广东宏远男篮新赛季小外援确定为艾德蒙-萨姆纳。萨姆纳上赛季加盟广东宏远男篮，出战33场常规赛，场均登场23.6分钟，能贡献21.7分4.1篮板4.0助攻和1.2抢断。可惜他随后因膝盖受伤，没有出战接下来的季后赛比赛。
据悉萨姆纳本人对广东队归属感颇强，此番成功回归也是如他所愿了。
