首盘阿尔卡拉斯先发，第五局第六局双方互换发球局，随后第十一局，博格斯实现了关键破发，随后拿下发球胜盘局，7-5先胜一盘。
第二盘，双方没有出现破发的情况，比赛进入抢七。抢七中，博格斯在4-4后连得3分，7-4拿下抢七，大比分2-0战胜阿尔卡拉斯晋级上海大师赛第四轮。
