8月1日下午，在河南省疫情防控新闻发布会现场，河南省疫情防控指挥部办公室综合组副组长，省疾控中心副主任赵东阳表示，省疾控中心有序开展病毒测序，并于近期境外输入病例毒株进行比对分析，从目前结果来看，本次疫情主要是由新冠病毒德尔塔毒株引起。
