近日，Nature对Robert A Weinberg团队在1999年7月29日发表的题为“Creation of human tumour cells with defined genetic elements”的研究论文，发表了编辑表达关注，指出文章涉嫌图片重复及拼接的行为，但是作者无法获得原始数据。
编辑们想提醒读者，有人对图 1b 中两条带的可能重复提出了质疑。由于该文章的发表时间较久，原始数据已无法获取。此外，在图 1b 中的凝胶拼接情况也有所提及；不过，在当时这种拼接是被认可的。尽管文章的主要结论仍能得到文章中其余数据的支持，但读者在解读上述列出的数据时仍需谨慎。
