The Light in Her Eyes
Aiming to challenge myself, I joined the English singing competition held by our school.
As the competition approached, a wave of nervousness and self-doubt struck me, making me want to escape. I finally gathered the courage to tell my English teacher about my thought of giving up. Instead of blaming me, she persuaded me to hang on, sharing her own inspiring story. Only then did I realize that experience matters far more than awards. Deeply moved, I decided to spare no effort and give it a try. When my song came to an end, I caught sight of her applauding warmly with a proud smile on her face.
Although I didn’t win first prize, her firm and encouraging eyes continue to push me to learn further and become a better me.
