当地时间9月1日晚，美国友人“赛考斯”乘国航航班抵达华盛顿杜勒斯机场。在机场接受采访时，他回忆起此次难忘的中国之旅时说：“我的心一部分留在了中国。”他还表示，期待他与治沙英雄殷玉珍的故事、与中国的故事，能有新的篇章。
