北京时间9月9日，国王官方宣布，2016年NBA状元本-西蒙斯正式加盟球队。
此前据Shams报道，本-西蒙斯本次加盟签下的是一份350万美元的合同，签约的年限为1年。
本-西蒙斯缺席了过去的25-26赛季，该赛季中他没有与任何球队签约。而在24-25赛季效力于快船时，他场均得到2.9分3.8篮板3.1助攻，投篮命中率为43.4%。
