纽约时间9月19日，第24届联合国国际和平日时代广场音乐会在"世界的十字路口"——纽约时代广场西46街至47街中央露天广场圆满举行。

本届音乐会以"Pause the World for Peace——爱你的母亲（LOVE YOUR MOTHER）"为主题，既是联合国国际和平日（9月21日）的标志性庆典，也是纽约气候周的开幕活动。

今天，9月21日国际和平日正日，音乐会于美东正午面向全球重播，全世界共同迎来"正午世界和平静默时刻"。

音乐会由Good News Corporation主办。该机构由CBS、PBS资深制片人**保罗·斯拉德卡斯（Paul Sladkus）**于2002年创立，已连续24年执行制作这一全球最大的免费和平音乐会。

️ "从伤痛走向和平"：9·11二十五周年的特别纪念

今年音乐会承载着格外深重的意义——"9·11"恐怖袭击二十五周年。

二十五年前，一场灾难让纽约陷入悲痛；二十五年后，人们在同一座城市再次集结。斯拉德卡斯动情地说：

"和平从来不是抽象的口号，而是我们对每一代人的承诺——从伤痛之地，可以升起世界最持久的疗愈之声。"

音乐会还全球首映了拍摄始于1989年的伍德斯托克纪录片**《Woodstock, Forever: Peace, Love & HOPE》**，为美国建国250周年作注。值得一提的是，1989年斯拉德卡斯与里奇·海文斯正是在时代广场同一地点举办伍德斯托克20周年纪念活动——三十七年过去，历史在此圆满闭环。

美东时间9月6日，Good News Corporation创始人保罗·斯拉德卡斯正式任命国际跨文化公益交流使者、著名歌手"情歌王子"国际主持人Prince John-Wang Guoquan（约翰王子·王国权）担任本届音乐会新闻发言人。

从9月初获委任之日起，到9月19日音乐会圆满举行，再到今天9月21日国际和平日——王国权作为新闻发言人始终持续不断地为这场和平盛事宣传发声，全程跟进、从未间断，用中英双语把"让世界为和平暂停"的理念传递给世界。

早在2026年4月世界地球日时代广场音乐会上，王国权便与斯拉德卡斯结缘。谈及此次使命，他表示：

"能够和拉丁天后夏奇拉等艺术家一样，虽然因档期冲突不能亲临现场，但通过互联网线上连线的方式，积极配合主办方做好报道工作，全力支持本次活动，为世界和平做贡献，也是我的荣幸和使命。"

事实上，这已不是王国权第一次为和平议题站上世界舞台。今年3月，他以官方代表身份全程列席在纽约联合国总部举行的第70届联合国妇女地位委员会大会（CSW70）；4月，又先后出席国际和平研究所（IPI）与荷兰常驻联合国代表团联合主办的高级别政策会议、联合国世界青年论坛等多场活动，围绕和平与发展议题与国际代表深入交流——作为联合国妇女地位委员会大会官方论坛主持人，他一直在用行动诠释"投资于和平"。

值得一提的是，音乐会期间，时代广场大屏幕上还播放了王国权特意为本届国际和平日制作的祝福视频——视频取自此前CNN在第五大道对他的专访画面，他以个人演唱会主题曲《花好月圆》，为第24届联合国国际和平日送上祝福。"花好月圆"，寓意和平与美好。而这段祝福播出的地方，恰好正是"世界的十字路口"时代广场。

一座城市的和平叙事：从联合国到华埠

同一时刻，纽约的和平叙事也在别处展开。

联合国秘书长安东尼奥·古特雷斯在和平日致辞中警告，当今世界和平“极度稀缺"。他向全球"和平缔造者"致敬，并强调和平是一项积极而明确的选择，号召各国领导人投资于全人类的和平未来——这与时代广场的歌声，彼此呼应。

New York, September 19 — The 24th UN International Day of Peace Concert concludedsuccessfullyat the central open-air plaza between West 46th and West 47th Streets in Times Square, "the Crossroads of the World."

Presented under the theme"Pause the World for Peace — LOVE YOUR MOTHER,"the concert served as both the signature celebration of the United Nations International Day of Peace (September 21) and the kick-off event of NYC Climate Week.

Today, September 21 — the exact day of the International Day of Peace— the concert was rebroadcast globally at noon (ET), as the world joined together for the worldwide Moment of Silence for Peace.

Global Stars Gather at the Crossroads of the World, Where Peace and Love Resonate

The concert was presented by Good News Corporation, founded in 2002 by veteran CBS and PBS producerPaul Sladkus, which has executive-produced the world's largest free peace concert for 24 consecutive years.

This year's lineup featuredRingo Starr of The Beatles, Academy Award winner Michael Douglas, Grammy legend Stevie Wonder, Latin superstar Shakira, K-Pop group BlingOne, the cast of the musicalHis Life, and Dionne Warwick— with several stars joining virtually. Shakira performed in support of UNICEF, and the concert included a special memorial tribute toDr. Jane Goodall, UN Messenger of Peace.

️ "From Grief to Peace": A Special Commemoration of the 25th Anniversary of 9/11

This year's concert carried profound significance — the25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks.

Twenty-five years ago, tragedy brought grief to New York; twenty-five years later, people rallied once again in the same city. Sladkus reflected movingly:

"Peace is never an abstract slogan, but a promise made to every generation — and from the site of wounds can rise the world's most enduring message of healing."

The concert also marked the global premiere ofWoodstock, Forever: Peace, Love & HOPE, a documentary filmed since 1989, arriving in the year of America's 250th anniversary. Notably, it was at this very location in Times Square that Sladkus and Richie Havens held the Woodstock 20th anniversary event in 1989 —thirty-seven years on, history has come full circle.

On September 6 (ET), Paul Sladkus, founder of Good News Corporation, officially appointedPrince John-Wang Guoquan — international cross-cultural public welfare exchange envoy, renowned singer and "Prince of Love Songs" international host — as Press Spokespersonfor this year's concert.

From his appointment in early September, through the concert's successful conclusion on September 19, to today's International Day of Peace on September 21— Wang Guoquan has been continuously and tirelessly promoting this peace celebration in his role as press spokesperson, following through from start to finish, sharing the message of "pausing the world for peace" in both Chinese and English.

The two first met at the Earth Day concert in Times Square in April 2026. Speaking of his mission, Wang said:

"Like Latin superstar Shakira and other artists, although scheduling conflicts prevent me from being there in person, I will actively support the organizer's media coverage through online virtual connections, fully back this event, and contribute to world peace — it is both my honor and my mission."

In fact, this was not Wang's first time standing on the world stage for peace. In March this year, he attended the70th Session of the UN Commission on the Status of Women (CSW70)at UN Headquarters in New York as an official delegate; in April, he attended ahigh-level policy meeting co-hosted by the International Peace Institute (IPI) and the Permanent Mission of the Netherlands to the UN, theUN World Youth Forum, and other events, engaging in dialogue on peace and development with international representatives — as an official forum moderator of the UN Commission on the Status of Women, he has been living out the principle of "investing in peace" through action.

It is also worth noting that during the concert, the big screens of Times Square played aspecial Peace Day blessing video produced by Wang Guoquan— featuring footage from his previous interview with CNN on Fifth Avenue, in which he performed his concert theme song"Blooming Flowers and Full Moon" （花好月圆）to bless the 24th International Day of Peace. The song, symbolizing harmony and beauty, carries the wish for peace. And the place where this blessing was broadcast happened to be none other than Times Square itself, "the Crossroads of the World."

A City's Peace Narrative: From the UN to Chinatown

Meanwhile, New York's peace narrative unfolded elsewhere.

In his Peace Day message, UN Secretary-General António Guterres warned that peace is now"in short supply"in today's world. He paid tribute to "peacebuilders" worldwide and emphasized that peace is an active and deliberate choice, calling on world leaders to invest in a peaceful future for all humankind —echoing the songs of Times Square.

On September 21, United Nations International Peace Day, UN Secretary-General Guterres delivered an important speech.

On September 10, the"History in Light and Shadow"grand photo exhibition commemorating the 25th anniversary of 9/11 also opened at the Wyndham Garden Hotel in New York's Chinatown, where the Chinese community safeguarded the memory of peace through rare historical images — sharing the same aspiration as the concert.

Ground Zero, Reborn Toward the Light

From One World Trade Center rebuilt at Ground Zero, to the conference halls of UN Headquarters, to the stage of Times Square—

️"You can destroy our buildings, but you can never destroy our determination to rebuild."

Peace begins with remembrance, and is fulfilled through action.
