9月23日晚，在爱知·名古屋亚运会男女混合4×100米混合泳接力决赛中，徐嘉余、董志豪、张雨霏、余依婷组成的中国队以3分40秒38夺冠，徐嘉余就此解锁第15金。
在拿下这块金牌后，徐嘉余以15金的成绩，超过了王义夫的14金，成为了中国亚运历史上夺金次数最多的运动员。分别是2014年仁川1金，2018年雅加达5金，2023年杭州5金，2026年名古屋4金。
赛后，他更新社交媒体写道：“感谢队友助我成为亚运金牌数第一人。”
