北京时间9月25日，F1阿塞拜疆大奖赛排位赛结束，在比赛结束后，FIA官方公布了两项处罚：塞恩斯在黄旗下未减速，被罚退5位；佩雷兹在Q1中阻挡皮亚斯特里飞驰圈，被罚退3位。
塞恩斯因为在单黄旗的情况下并没有有效减速，被罚退5位，超级驾照扣2分。
而佩雷兹则是因为在Q1当中并未靠右行驶，阻挡了皮亚斯特里的飞驰圈，因此正赛被罚退3位。
塞恩斯在排位赛中拿到了第9，佩雷兹则是第20。
