此《十二生肖图册》由清末海派画家任预绘制。每开描绘一个生肖形象，与人物、山水、花鸟画相融合，组成了不同的生肖故事。画心右下角钤“立凡”朱文方印。
任预（1853—1901年），字立凡，浙江萧山人，任熊之子。与任薰、任熊、任颐并称“海上四任”。山水、人物、花鸟，皆有较高造诣。
