据澳大利亚方面23日消息，澳农业部长证实在南澳大利亚州的一只海豹身上发现了H5型禽流感病毒，这是澳大利亚今年出现鸟类感染H5型禽流感病毒后第一次在哺乳动物身上发现该病毒。
据澳大利亚方面3日消息，南澳大利亚州东南海岸附近首次出现H5型禽流感导致大规模鸟类死亡事件，死亡的鸟类为大凤头燕鸥。
