The 5th Wuhan International Symposium on Biological Signal Transduction
(First Circular)
As artificial intelligence reshapes life-science research, our understanding of human disease mechanisms, of the signal pathways through which crops respond to stress, and of the immune responses that follow is moving into genuinely new territory, with AI steadily widening the range of tools and methods available to explore it. This shift is deepening fundamental research while opening up new applications for AI-assisted approaches. By combining big-data analysis, machine learning, and bioinformatics, researchers can now map signal-transduction networks with far greater precision, trace how plants adapt to adverse conditions, and untangle the complex reactions of the human immune system. Taken together, these approaches give us a fuller picture of how organisms respond to different environments and, in turn, a clearer path toward more targeted disease therapies and new stress-tolerant crop varieties, advancing innovation in both medicine and agricultural science. The 5th Wuhan International Symposium on Biological Signal Transduction, hosted by South-Central Minzu University and organized by the Hubei Provincial Key Laboratory of Conservation and Utilization of Characteristic Plant Germplasm Resources in the Wuling Mountain Area and BGI Research,Wuhan, will offer a broad platform for exploring these questions.
