9月5日22时许，多名网友在社交平台发视频称，位于广州市天河区的天河城外墙招牌着火，其中“城”字突然起火，起火时正在下雨，“城”字燃烧后有火星飘落。
据现场目击网友介绍，多辆消防车迅速赶到天河城楼下，目前明火已扑灭。
