故事仍然发生在原版《越狱》的世界观里，但主演和剧情全部换新，相当于开启了一条全新的监狱故事线。
主角也从囚犯，变成了一个女狱警。
她所在的监狱，是全美最危险、最残酷的监狱之一「黑溪监狱」。
