10月12日6时30分，重建后的皇岗口岸正式开通，实施“一地两检”安排及“合作查验、一次放行”全新通关模式，旅客出入境更加便利。据深圳边检总站统计，开通运行首日（6:30至24:00），经新皇岗口岸出入境人员7.95万人次，其中入境4.13万人次，出境3.82万人次；出入境车辆0.8万辆次，其中入境0.42万辆次，出境0.38万辆次。
由于新口岸采用“一地两检”及“合作查验、一次放行”模式，旅客通关时长由原来的30分钟缩短至5分钟。同时，口岸搭建了地上地下立体交通体系，接入5条轨道交通、5条巴士线路。从口岸可快速直达深圳地铁站，15分钟抵达热门商圈，三站地铁直达华强北。
The redeveloped Huanggang Port, which facilitates travel between Shenzhen and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, opened for operation at 6:30 a.m. on Monday. The port offers 24-hour immigration clearance.
Operating under a co-location arrangement, the port has introduced a new "collaborative inspection and joint clearance" mode, allowing travelers to complete immigration clearance for both Shenzhen and Hong Kong in a single queue. The clearance process is expected to drop from 30 minutes to five minutes.
