据日本方面15日消息，俄罗斯已向日本政府通报称，13日至17日在南千岛群岛（日方称为北方四岛）之一的伊图鲁普岛（日方称为择捉岛）实施轰炸演习。日本政府13日通过外交渠道对此提出抗议。
因在南千岛群岛的归属问题上存在争议，俄日在二战结束后至今未缔结和平条约。
