地震发生后，距离震中57公里的索县特困人员集中供养服务中心第一时间开展避险转移工作，有序将老人们安置至临时帐篷，保障大家平稳避险、安心安居。安置期间，护理人员全员坚守岗位，细致做好日常生活照料，开展心理情绪疏导工作，安抚老人情绪，全力守护特殊群体的生命安全与生活安稳。
